Tribute To Gangstarr's Guru

If youre a hardcore fan of hip hop or have any solid knowledge on the history of hip hop, then theres a good chance that you were a fan of Guru of the legendary group Gangstarr. Sadly, Guru passed away yesterday as a result of cancer complications. Hip hop has lost another great musician and contributor. Our condolences go out to Guru's family and close friends.

As a way to pay homage to Guru, Mailmaxx decided to spit some bars over one of Gangstarr's classics. Listen below and celebrate Guru's legacy.

An Ode To America?

So basically this is a song that I did for my friend Taylor to help out with one of his classes last semester. He asked me to do some political, social change, struggle type of sheeit. The beat was made by John Lawyer, who actually is a good producer and a friend as well. I ended up having to record up here in the dorm, so it's not HQ but it's good enough. It was kind of a last minute thing, but nonetheless I got it done. And here's the outcome.
